Long-Form YouTube Video Editing

I shape raw footage into a clear full-length YouTube story: a stronger opening, tighter ideas, purposeful visual changes and a finished sound and colour pass.

Retention starts with the story

A high-retention edit is not a promise about a metric. It is a series of deliberate choices that remove reasons to leave.

01

Hook and structure

I bring the promise forward, remove repeated setup and arrange each beat so the viewer always knows why the next one matters.

02

Pacing and dead air

False starts, long pauses and duplicate points come out while useful breathing room stays in.

03

Pattern interrupts

B-roll, reframes, graphics and text appear where they clarify or reset attention—not on an arbitrary timer.

What I handle in the timeline

Picture

Assembly, multicam where required, punch-ins, b-roll, licensed-stock placement, callouts and light motion graphics.

Sound and colour

Dialogue cleanup, music and effects mixed beneath the voice, then a consistent Rec.709 colour grade.

Review and delivery

Timecoded Frame.io feedback, the revision rounds agreed in scope, a 4K master and project-file handoff where the package or quote includes it.

A clear long-form workflow

Share footage through Drive, Dropbox or Frame.io with a brief and references. I lock story and pacing first, collect consolidated timecoded notes, then finish and deliver. The $95 test covers one video up to five finished minutes from up to 45 minutes of footage, with one revision round and a first cut targeted within 3–5 business days.

One fixed-scope edit before any ongoing commitment.
